While I do not plan to pursue a career as a teacher, data collection tools are just as important in an organizing profession. In organizing I would use data collection tools to keep track of the voters I am talking to, volunteers who have previously participated in events, and resources that may be useful for coworkers. Some more specific examples of commonly used data collection tools in organizing include VoteBuilder and Mobilize. VoteBuilder is a site where you can pull information on voters, track phone banks and canvasses, and log conversations you have in the community. Mobilize is a platform where volunteers can sign up for, and get reminders about, events that are taking place in the community.

My experience with distance learning in K-12 education was my junior and senior years of high school. In 11th and 12th grade, my classes were conducted over Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Both of these platforms were a learning curve, at first, but ultimately proved to be very effective and user-friendly distance learning platforms.
